AS COMMUNITIES across Mindanao continue to recover from the recent earthquake, DITO Telecommunity has successfully restored 100% network availability across affected areas, ensuring that families, businesses, and emergency responders remain connected when communication matters most.
Despite the earthquake’s impact across 24 provinces and six regions, DITO’s network teams worked around the clock to maintain and restore services. As of 1:30 p.m. on June 10, 2026, the company achieved full network restoration, supported by the deployment of multiple portable generators to keep critical sites operational. Connectivity has likewise been restored in 79 barangays, including nine barangays in Sarangani and 66 barangays in South Cotabato, helping communities regain access to vital communication services as recovery efforts continue.
Complementing these restoration efforts, DITO deployed its Tulung Tulong DITO community support initiative in General Santos City, providing free WiFi, free calls, and charging services to residents needing to reconnect with loved ones, access critical information, and stay connected during ongoing recovery efforts.
“In times like these, our priority is to help communities reconnect with their loved ones and access the support they need. We are grateful that our employees and partners are safe, and we remain committed to serving the people of Mindanao as they recover and rebuild,” said Eric Alberto, President and CEO of DITO Telecommunity.
Serving as a temporary connectivity hub, the Tulung Tulong DITO station has become a vital resource for nearby communities. As of June 10, the initiative has helped charge more than 300 mobile phones and battery packs for residents from nearby hospitals, communities, and establishments still experiencing power interruptions.
“Mindanao holds a special place in DITO’s story and in our hearts,” said Atty. Adel Tamano, Chief Commercial Officer of DITO Telecommunity. “Through Tulung Tulong DITO, we are extending not just connectivity, but solidarity and support to the communities that have long been part of our growth. In difficult times, staying connected can make all the difference.”
Guided by the spirit of Tulung Tulong DITO, DITO remains committed to keeping Filipinos connected, informed, and supported in times of crisis, standing alongside Mindanao communities as they recover, rebuild, and move forward together. (PR)
