CDRRMO Head Dr. Elmeir Apolinario issued the clarification in light of conflicting reports being circulated online, causing panic and confusion among residents.
Based on official CDRRMO report as of 2pm, two were killed on the scene, while two others were transported to the hospital. Of the two transported to the hospital, one was wounded while the other was experiencing shortness of breath.
Aside from this, CDRRMO medical teams also attended to 21 students on scene due to panic attack or anxiety, and minor abrasions.
The ADZU incident is under thorough investigation.
The city government appeals to everyone to remain calm, vigilant, and responsible, and urges residents to refrain from spreading unverified information, rumors, photographs, or videos that may cause unnecessary alarm or interfere with the ongoing police response and investigation.
