Public urged to use online transactions with CSC

THE CIVIL  Service Commission (CSC) urged the public to transact with its newly launched web-based Online Registration, Appointment, and Scheduling System (ORAS) to maintain physical distancing amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

In a Facebook advisory, the CSC said Friday its clients can book appointments through ORAS, which include transacting civil service records such as career service (professional and subprofessional) eligibility, civil service eligibility granted under special laws and CSC issuance (e.g. memorandum circular, resolution, decision), statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN) for CY 2009 to CY 2018.
CSC said tracking employee's records such as appointment paper for those who were assigned in agencies under the jurisdiction of the National Capital Region (NCR) and Regional Office No. 4 (Southern Tagalog) from CY 1980 to CY 1989, statement of service record of former Civil Service Commission employees, service card in various agencies from CY 1930 to CY 1989), can also be done with the ORAS.
The CSC said booking in ORAS can be done in three steps: register or sign up at https://services.csc.gov.ph; login to your account and click the link provided for the instructions on how to use the system; and select and confirm your appointment date and time.
"With the Covid-19 pandemic, it is important to manage the flow of CSC clients for physical distancing and reduction of waiting time to lessen their exposure to the unseen virus," the CSC advisory reads.
The CSC reminded the public that walk-in appointments will not be allowed.
"Henceforth, transactions for the abovementioned services must go through ORAS. No walk-in clients shall be entertained," the advisory added.
The CSC urged the public to contact its Integrated Records Management Office (IRMO) at telephone numbers 8931-8092/ 8931-7939 / 8931-7935 local 524 from Mondays to Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or email address at irmo.od@csc.gov.ph, for further inquiries about the digital transactions.
