BJMP awards City Government

THE BUREAU of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) has given a special award to the local government for its magnanimous support and assistance to prisoners, citing the Climaco administration’s unyielding dedication to the protection of those behind bars against Covid-19.

The award was given during a virtual ceremony of the BJMP which coincided with its 30^th anniversary. It said the award was given to the local government for its efforts in ensuring prisoners also get the same protection as civilians against the deadly virus. 

It said prisoners tested positive for Covid-19 were immediately given the necessary medical attention and care for their fast recovery. The BJMP also thanked the City Health Office and the local Covid-19 task force for providing those infected with the respiratory disease proper isolation facilities.
