ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police commandos killed four Abu Sayyaf terrorists and captured another following a firefight in Lamitan City in the southern province of Basilan, officials said Friday.

The commandos surrounded the Abu Sayyaf hideout, but the terrorists sensed the arrival of the police forces and opened fire, sparking an intense gun battle and killing the four pro-ISIS followers - Baradi Ganie, Remie Ganie, Dawam Morales and Mando Morales.
A fifth gunman, Dawan Murales, was captured by the commandos. All the slain terrorists and Murales are facing a string of criminal charges in Basilan, one of five provinces under the Bangsamoro autonomous region.
Commandos recovered a sub-machine gun,
a shotgun, a rifle and pistols from the slain terrorists. There were no reports
