MCIAA receives highest COA rating

CEBU - The Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) has received the highest rating from the Commission on Audit (COA).

The state auditor expressed an unmodified opinion on the fairness of presentation of the financial statements of the MCIAA.

“We have audited the financial statements of Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority... In our opinion, the accompanying financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the MCIAA as at December 31, 2020 and its financial performance and its cash flows for the year then ended in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards,” COA said. 

An unmodified opinion is the highest rating that a government agency may receive. 

The MCIAA has demonstrated how a Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations can fulfil the highest standards of financial accountability and transparency while serving the public through its exemplary governance and Covid-19 response.
