SM FOUNDATION
Incorporated recently donated personal protective equipment and medical supplies to
hospitals in the Visayas and Mindanao regions as part of its commitment to
serve the public, especially now the country is facing a health crisis due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Medical personnel from Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City receive the PPEs and medical supplies from SM Foundation, Inc. and ICU-grade ventilator, PPEs, and medical supplies arrive at the West Visayas State University Medical Center in IloIlo City.
In the
Visayas area, these were donated to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center
in Cebu City and the West Visayas State University Medical Center in IloIlo
City; as well as 15 other hospitals in Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod City, Dumaguete
City, Roxas City, Tacloban City, Ormoc City, and the province of Samar.
Medical supplies and PPEs are donated to
Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao and - frontliners from
Northern Mindanao Medical Center in Cagayan de Oro City thank SM
Foundation for the PPEs and medical supplies to help fight the
pandemic.
In Mindanao,
the beneficiaries included the Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao
City and the Northern Mindanao Medical Center in Cagayan de Oro City; and the
Amai Pakpak Hospital in Marawi City and Davao Regional Medical Center in Tagum
City.
And
in response to the health crisis, the SM Group also waived rentals of all
tenants of SM Supermalls nationwide, and provide continued compensation of
employees, and the extension of an emergency financial assistance to its front-liners,
security guards and janitorial staff during the enhanced community quarantine
