Mayor Beng sumailalim sa Covid test!

SA IKATLONG pagkakataon, muling isina-ilalim sa Covid-19 swab test si Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco at inamin nito ang malaking takot sa magiging resulta ng pagsusuri.

Ang panibagong test ay base na rin abiso ng mga duktor kay Climaco dahil sa pakikisalamuha nito sa ibat-ibang mga tao na bahagi ng kanyang tungkulin. 

Kilala sa pagiging relihiyosa, sinabi ni Climaco na muling nitong isinuko ang kanyang buhay sa kagustuhan ng Panginoong Diyos. Sa kanyang column sa pahayagang Zamboanga Post na “Sunday Reflection”, ibinunyag ni Climaco na isinagawa ang Covid-19 swab test sa kanya sa biomolecular laboratory ng Philippine Red Cross. 

“I had to undergo my third swab test per advice of doctors. I marched on being tested and woke up anxious the next day as the results were not yet out. I called up Red Cross and was told the doctor has to analyse the result and Jan told me not to worry! It was the feast of St. Therese of the Child Jesus and I surrendered to God the anxiety and uncertainty of every swab test,” ani Climaco. 

Habang hinihintay ang resulta ng kanyang swab test, tainging ang kaligtasan pa rin ng mga residente mula sa Covid-19 ang palaging nasa isipan ni Climaco na halos araw-araw na lamang ang paalala sa publiko na sundin ang health protocols at quarantine guidelines. 

“We are called to be stewards of God’s vineyard to be responsible for ourselves and our families. As I make this, I am aware of the loss of lives and struggle of friends with Covid. May we take God’s call to care for each other and value life,” wika pa ni Climaco. 

“Tiene cuidao firmi, maskin onde y maskin cuando, compli maga reglamento de quarantina, protocol de salud y maga leyes para el bien de todo. Let us live out our duty to make sure we abide by Covid protocols and security measures to keep our loved ones and Zamboanga safe,” dagdag pa ng alkalde. 

Sa inilabas na resulta ng Philippine Red Cross kamakailan lamang, nabatid na negatibo sa Covid-19 si Climaco. “I got the email: NEGATIVE! Gracias a Dios! Covid is dangerous that even US President Donald Trump and the First Lady were not spared,” ani Climaco. 

Todo naman ang pasasalamat ni Climaco sa Diyos at sa lahat ng mga nag-alay ng kanilang panalangin at sinabing may misyon ang Panginoon na ibinigay sa kanya at ito ay ang patuloy na pagsisilbi sa mga residente bilang alkalde ng Zamboanga. 

Unang sumailalim sa Covid-19 test si Climaco matapos na ma-expose sa mga bisita mula sa Philippine Red Cross na may dala sa naturang biomolecular machine noong Hulyo at ang ikalawa naman ay nang mag-positibo sa coronavirus ang isang empleyado nito sa City Hall. (Zamboanga Post)
