SULU – Three municipalities here were awarded by the regional government for garnering “Ideal Functionality Rating” in the 2020 Local Government Functionality Appraisal program or LoGFA.
The awards were given to Maimbung,
Omar and Talipao by the Ministry of Local Government.
Maimbung Mayor Shihla Hayudini thanked the Ministry for the LoGFA recognition and said she shares the accolade with the chief executives of Omar and Talipao and most especially with the people of her municipality.
The Facebook page of Maimbung posted this in reference to Hayudini: “She usually shies away from publicity. Even her entrance at any event is usually unheralded. But her administration and governance of Maimbung loudly punctuated by dots of development and progress scattered all over the coastal municipality, are the envy of many. Her management of the pandemic is worth emulating.”
Hayudini is one of the most hardworking mayors in Sulu.
The LoGFA program aims to create a culture of functional and performing governments in the Muslim autonomous region. The program access the local governments in their capability to maximize potentials in governance and identify performance gaps for appropriate policy development and capacity building interventions.
