POLICE ARE holding a Saudi national accused o being a member of the Islamic State operating in East Asia.
Officials
said the 47-year old Adel Sulaiman
Alsuhibani was recently arrested in his home in Cotabato City. His Filipina
wife, Norhaya Silongan Lumanggal, 36, was also taken into custody by the
police.
Alsuhibani allegedly facilitated the entry in
the country of IS members from the Middle East. He is believed working closely
with the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, whose members were mostly former
fighters of the larger Moro Islamic Liberation Front.
Police claimed to have recovered a homemade bomb in the house of
Alsuhibani during the search. (Rhod Beñez)
