DAVAO CITY – Mayor Sara Carpio reminded residents to celebrate the Yuletide holidays safely and healthily with their family and reiterated calls to stay home and avoid social parties and gatherings.
Carpio said the celebration would be more
meaningful if everyone in the family is complete and healthy this Christmas and
New Year.
ug sa tanang tao sa atong katilingban,” she said.
“Likayan nato ang mga party ug
panagtapok-tapok. Atong balibaran ang mga imbitasyon,” she added.
Carpio encouraged everyone to reflect on the
current situation and to look forward to the future. “Magtigum kita ug mogasto
pabuto,” she said.
The mayor also asked residents to pray and
cooperate as the local government continues to fight the spread of Covid-19. Davao
City has one of the highest numbers of Covid-19 cases in the country and
remains under General Community Quarantine until end of the year.
Pinaagi
niini, dili kita mapukan,” she said. (Malou Cablinda contributed to this
