US FEMALE tennis player Sofia Kenin was honored by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) with the Player of the Year award on Tuesday.
The WTA announced on its website that the 22-year-old Kenin became the 2020 Player of the Year.
Kenin won the 2020 Australian Open in women's singles, her maiden Grand Slam title.
She also played in the finals of this year's French Open at the Roland Garros in Paris.
Kenin is now the No. 4 seed in the WTA Singles Rankings.
