ZAMBOANGA CITY – Four workers of fishing company were rushed to hospital on Thursday after suffocating while cleaning a boat in this southern port city, reports said.
All are workers of Nancy Fishing Corporation in the village of Talisayan, according to a report by a local radio network, dxRZ.
It was unclear whether the four suffocated due to a gas leak or not, but they were cleaning a huge room for fish catch while the boat was docked at the port. There was no immediate statement from the fishing company, but the police were investigating the incident.

village councilman Omar Basing confirmed the incident and was among those who
responded to the area and brought the workers to hospital. (Zamboanga Post)
