THE LOCAL government continues aiding those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic as part of the Social Amelioration Program, according to Mayor Beng Climaco.
Thousands of people are expected to benefit largely from the program to help them in this time of crisis.
Just recently, Climaco distributed cash assistance to workers in the Event industry. Over 1,500 workers are to benefit from the cash aid. The mayor led the pay-out to workers held at KCC Mall de Zamboanga. She was assisted by Rep. Jawo Jimenez and Councilors Pinpin Pareja, Kim Elago, Jihann Edding and El King Omaga, among others.
Those who received cash assistance thanked Climaco for help.
Thousands of workers from various industries from canning to fishery sector and even cobblers and trike drivers have received assistance from the local government.
The mayor, supported by the
members of the City Council, has vowed to help those hardest hit by the
Covid-19 pandemic, especially the poor and senior citizens. (Zamboanga Post)
