SULU - The Sulu provincial government has formally inaugurated a building for 2 Automated Teller and one Cash Deposit Machines (ATM and CDM) at the Capitol compound in Patikul town in an effort to provide efficient access to electronic banking services.
The construction of the ATM and CDM building has been welcomed by civil workers and praised Tan for helping the banking sector.
Sulu Governor Sakur Tan and Vice Governor Toto Tan and bank officials led by Sheila Anni Salim inaugurated the building this week.
The governor
expressed his gratitude to Land Bank of the Philippines President Cecilia
Borromeo, Finance Secretary Sonny Dominguez and Salim for additional ATMs and
CDM in the province. “Malaking tulong ito sa ating mga teachers, 4Ps recipients, mga kapulisan, kasundaluhan, at sa mamamayan ng Sulu na talagang kailangan ang ganitong pasilidad at serbisyong pinansiyal,” Tan said.
He also highlighted the fact that Sulu have the most number of banks in operation within the island provinces of the Muslim autonomous regions. “This is a significant indicator of Sulu’s strong financial capacity. Marami naman dito sa Sulu ang may kakayahan bigyan lamang ng oportunidad,” he said.
Salim also thanked Tan and the provincial government for providing the building and helping improve the digital banking services here.

country. He really made sure that our customers are comfortable and secure in
using this facility. Indeed, Governor Tan truly cares for the people of Sulu,”
