Mayor Beng Climaco, who condoled with Cajita’s family, said the well-respected official died on July 28 in Cagayan de Oro City, her hometown where she was assigned after her stint in Zamboanga.
“Through her guidance, the USAID-SURGE provided technical expertise in urban planning and development for the formulation of the City’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan, Zoning Ordinance and the Comprehensive Development Plan and the Executive-Legislative Agenda of Zamboanga,” Climaco said.
“It was also through the USAID-SURGE
that Zamboanga City accomplished the Geoportal Project and achieved DILG’s 2017
Seal of Good Local Governance. The long list of innovations in various fields
that USAID-SURGE introduced is proof of Dr. Cajita’s tireless efforts to help
Zamboanga; and the City Government is forever grateful.
Mam Abelle, muchisimas gracias por tu asistencia y ayuda na desarollo del Ciudad de Zamboanga! Paz eterno na mano de Dios y La Virgen Maria y San Jose!,” the mayor said. (Zamboanga Post)
