THE PHILHEALTH in Davao Region reiterated on Monday the use of the PhilHealth member portal, an online service that allows members to access their records.
In a statement, PhilHealth said the service would save members from long queues, transportation costs, and risks of exposure to coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
Through the portal, members can view and print their member data record (MDR), check and validate their membership and contribution details, and assess if updating their records is necessary.
“It’s so convenient because I was able to print my MDR and even regularly pay my contributions using the GCash option in the portal,” said Mae Fortuna, a self-paying PhilHealth member here.
PhilHealth added that updating or changes on one’s membership information may be requested via email of the nearest local health insurance office as it is not allowed through the member portal.
“This ensures that any changes or updates made are official and authorized by PhilHealth and to secure the confidentiality of individual records,” the statement said.
Aside from the view and print feature, the portal allows self-paying individuals to generate a statement of premium account and pay their contributions online via PhilHealth’s partner merchants.
To start accessing one’s record via the portal, a member must complete registration through https://memberinquiry.philhealth.gov.ph/member/.
“This game-changing online facility can be accessed using smartphones, laptops, or personal computers with internet connectivity, at any time and all from the comfort and safety of one’s home,” PhilHealth said. ( Che Palicte)
