COTABATO CITY - In an effort to strengthen and widen the vaccination program against COVID-19 in the BARMM, the Ministry of Health and Cotabato City Health Office are providing booster shots to employees of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority.
“Our office, as deputy speaker of the
parliament, fully supports the program because there is really a need to
increase the number of our vaccinated population,” said BTA Deputy Speaker Omar
Yasser Sema.
As the community shifts to in-person activities, Deputy Speaker Sema urged all BTA members, employees, and staff to get fully-vaccinated. According to Saada Salik, CCHO National Immunization Program coordinator, they are targeting to administer 600 vaccines, prioritizing BTA employees in the three-day activity.
Medical Division Chief Dr. Bongarsa
Tomawis, Jr. added that the program is implemented by the Cotabato CHO and MOH,
in coordination with the BTA.
Interested individuals who want to
get their booster shots can visit the Kabilan Sema Building lobby from 8a.m. to
3p.m. until August 18. (LTAIS-Public Information, Publication, and Media
