COTABATO CITY - The Bangsamoro Transition Authority’s Committee on Labor and Employment gathered recently for a special meeting to fast track the passage of BTA Bill No. 201, or the proposed Bangsamoro Labor and Employment Code.
During the meeting, the committee discussed the provision on the Bangsamoro Labor Adjudication Commission, a quasi-judicial body tasked with promoting and maintaining industrial peace by resolving labor and management disputes involving both local and overseas workers through compulsory arbitration and alternative modes of dispute resolution.
BTA Bill No. 201, principally authored by MPs Sema and Atty. Maisara Dandamun-Latiph, proposes to establish a framework that is responsive to the needs, ideals, and aspirations of the Bangsamoro. (LTAIS-Public Information, Publication, and Media Relations Division)
