CEBU – Low-cost airline Cebu Pacific has made good its promise to deliver only the best services to the public following the acquisition of a new Airbus A320neo.
Cebu Pacific said the A320neo flew on sustainable aviation fuel from Tianjin in China to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila. The A320neo was acquired through a 12-year leasing agreement.
“This aircraft
delivery...demonstrates our commitment to providing safe, convenient, and
reliable travel for our customers, while building a greener and more
sustainable future,” said Cebu Pacific’s Chief Strategy Officer Alex Reyes.
He said Cebu
Pacific is accepting 15 aircraft deliveries for 2023 and this includes 10 brand
new Airbus NEO aircraft, to support its transition to a more fuel-efficient,
all-NEO fleet by 2028. The airline is also receiving five additional aircraft
via long-term lease.
The A320neo has
188 seats made by German company, Recaro Aircraft Seating, which makes them
more comfortable for passengers with their slim and ergonomic design, according
to Reyes.
The A320neo
boasts the very latest NEO engines, large sharklets and an innovative Airspace
cabin. It is today the most comfortable and fuel-efficient single-aisle
aircraft on the market, delivering a 20% fuel burn and CO2 emissions advantage.
Since entry-into-service in 2016, Airbus has delivered over 2000 A320neo Family
aircraft, contributing to 10 million tons of CO2 saving.
Many
local travellers prefer the low-cost airline because of its affordable seat
prices and promotions, and friendly cabin crew services. (Cebu Examiner)
