ISABELA CITY – Basilan Governor Hadjiman Salliman formally signed into law the Appropriation Ordinance No. 2023-07, prescribing the 2024 Annual Budget of the province amounting to P1.6 billion covering the various expenditures of the provincial government.
Witnessing the ceremonial budget signing were the ordinance’s principal author Atty. Jimael Salam Salliman, and the co-authors Board Members Moumar Muarip, Nasser Salain, Abdurasil Aramil and Ahmed IBN Djaliv Hataman.
Also present were Sangguniang Panlalawigan Presiding Officer and Vice Governor Yusop Alano, other members of the Board and provincial department heads.
At least 15 barangay hall buildings of 2-storey each will soon be constructed in the province, pursuant to a Memorandum of Agreement signed by Sallimanc and Ministry of the Interior and Local Government Provincial Director Ra-diyah Akmad last Nov. 28 at the Provincial Capitol. Costing P81 million, the project is funded under the General Appropriation Act of the Bangsamoro 2023. (Richard Gregorio Falcatan)
