COTABATO CITY - The Bangsamoro Parliament’s Rules Committee has recently convened in an effort to further streamline its activities for the first quarter of 2024.
Among the key items discussed was the finalization of the committee’s activities, which will include public consultations in all provinces throughout the region starting in the third week of January.
BTA Floor Leader and COR Chair Atty. Sha Elijah Dumama-Alba said that these consultations seek to gather public input on proposed measures aimed at creating 32 single parliamentary districts.
During the meeting, the committee also deliberated on bills and resolutions referred to them, evaluating the status and progress of each measure.
Meanwhile, the Westminster Foundation for Democracy presented to the committee the “Playbook for Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Engagement with the Parliament.”
Tailored specifically for CSOs, the guidebook serves as a tool
designed to assist them in navigating their interactions with the Bangsamoro
Parliament. (LTAIS-Public Information, Publication, and Media Relations
