COTABATO CITY - The Office of Member of Parliament Ali Sangki, in partnership with the Ministry of Public Order and Safety, conducted capacity development training for Islamic religious leaders in Maguindanao del Sur.
The program seeks to enhance the knowledge and
skills of religious leaders, empowering them to address regional issues
effectively through their sermons, or khutba.
Topics covered included the resolution of rido
(clan feuds), combating illegal drugs, countering violent extremism, and
addressing various criminal activities that may hinder the region's progress.
Financial aid was also provided to participants
through MP Sangki's Transitional Development Impact Fund.
The financial support, according to MP Sangki, is
expected to acknowledge and compensate for the dedicated services of the
Islamic leaders, who often serve tirelessly without enough compensation.
