COTABATO CITY - Undercover police and anti-narcotics agents arrested a top drig supplier in a sting operation that re sulted in the capture of five kilos of crystal meth in Lanao del Sur's Malabang town in southern Philippines.
Monday's drug haul is estimated to be worth over P34 million, according to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the Muslim autonomous region.
PPDEA said it has the suspect in custody and identified him only as Zacaria, who is now being investigated. It did not say where the drug originated or its supplier.
Details of the undercover operation or its members were not made public to protect the safety of the agents involved in the sting.
The regional police chief Prexy Tanggawohn lauded Zacaria's arrest and commended all those involved in the operation. (Mindanao Examiner)
