‘Probe on Duterte’s deadly drug war continues’
THE INTERNATIONAL Criminal Court (ICC) has trashed the government’s request to suspend its investigation into alleged crimes against humanity in the Duterte administration’s deadly war on drugs, removing one hurdle for the resumption of the probe.

THE INTERNATIONAL Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines (ICHRP) lauded the recent decision of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Karim Khan in trashing the request of the Marcos administration to halt the investigation of allegations of serious “crimes against humanity” committed during the previous regime of President Rodrigo Duterte’s deadly drug war.
IN A June resolution, the International Criminal Court prosecutor Karim Khan asked to resume an investigation into former president Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs, which was deferred in November 2021 at the request of the Philippine government.
