Woman found dead inside Zambo hotel

 


ZAMBOANGA CITY - A woman was found dead Thursday inside her hotel room in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said.

Police said the woman, who was identified as 26-year old Earl Grace Riggs, was discovered in Room 336 of LM Metro Hotel. Riggs, who lives at Southcom Village in Upper Calarian, had injuries in her face and chest, according to an initial police investigation report.

"Victim was seen a lifeless and bloodied with visible injuries on her face and chest and was sitting in a chair inside the room of 336. The victim sustained one visible gunshot wound in her left lower cheek," said Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, a regional police spokeswoman.

She said the police is still investigating the incident. "Zamboanga City Police Station 6 is still conducting a thorough investigation to reveal the identity of the suspect or suspects, and CCTV’s of the hotel is being reviewed for further investigation," Galvez said.

There was no immediate statement from hotel executives. (Mindanao Examiner)
