THE PHILIPPINES and New Zealand have taken steps toward deeper defense cooperation, including the possible establishment of a visiting forces agreement, as President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon met in Malacañang on Thursday.
