Teodoro warns hoarders, price manipulators ahead of La Niña

WITH THE country soon to transition to the La Niña weather phenomenon, Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr. on Sunday said the government will crack down hard on hoarders and price manipulators out to victimize the public.

HOUSE OF Representatives Speaker Martin Romualdez on Wednesday called on the Bureau of Customs (BOC) to send rice smugglers and hoarders to jail for committing a "heinous crime" against the poor by keeping this Filipino food staple out of their reach through price manipulation.
