THE DEPARTMETN of Foreign Affairs (DFA) consular office in Aseana will resume operations on Wednesday (July 8), following the disinfection of its premises.
"'Yong (DFA) Alabang ay bukas na po. Iyon naman pong Aseana ay (bukas na magbubukas) (Our office in Alabang is already open, the one in Aseana will open tomorrow)," DFA Undersecretary Brigido Dulay said in a Laging Handa briefing on Tuesday.
On Sunday, the DFA announced the temporary closure of its consular offices in Aseana, ParaƱaque, and Metro Alabang Town Center after some of its staff tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
The DFA office in Metro Alabang Town Center reopened on Monday.
Aside from continuous disinfection, Dulay noted that contact tracing in both offices was conducted and that those who had close contact with the infected were quarantined. (By Joyce Ann L. Rocamora)
