Motorcycle barrier, inalis na!

INANUNSYO NG National Task Force Against Covid-19 na hindi na kailangan ang paglalagay ng plastic barrier sa mga motorsiklo, ngunit kailangan pa rin gumamit ng face mask at full-face helmet ang motorcycle driver at pasahero nito.


Ayon sa kautusan, maari lamang isakay na pasahero ang mga kabilang sa isang pamilya o mga magkakasama sa bahay. Nagsimula ang bagong protocol nitong Agosto 19.

Naunang hiniling ng mga taga-Cebu na huwag ng maglagay ng barrier sa mga motorsiklo upang hindi na mahirapan ang mga driver at pasahero nito.

Ipinaliwanag naman ni Joint Task Force Covid Shield commander, Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar na dapat sundin ang mga patakaran ng bagong protocol.

“They have to show proof, either identification card, certification from the barangay, or any document showing that both the rider and the back rider have the same address to avoid being apprehended and cited for violation of the rules on pillion riding,” ani Eleazar.

“Under the protocol, riders not living in the same house must have a barrier similar to the one designed by the ride-hailing firm Angkas and the back rider must be an authorized person outside residence (APOR). The driver may or may not be an APOR and the motorcycle must be privately owned and not for hire.

Motorcycle barriers would remain as a requirement for drivers and back riders who are not living in the same house, even if they are relatives.,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.

Bagama’t marami ang natuwa sa desisyon ng National Task Force Against Covid-19 ay problemado naman ngayon ang mga negosyante at online sellers na nagpagawa o bumili ng maraming mga plastic barrier dahil wala na umanong bibili nito.

Naunang ipinag-utos ng DILG ang paggamit ng motorcycle barrier bilang proteksyon sa Covid-19 sa kabila ng malawakang protesta laban dito at ang isyu ng kaligtasan. (Mindanao Examiner)
