ZAMBOANGA CITY - A local
hotel has joined the government’s fight against the spread of the deadly
coronavirus disease, or Covid-19, that is now threatening the health of
Zamboanga residents.
LM Metro Hotel, one of the city’s
best hotels, has deployed a truck with workers spraying 6,000 liters of disinfectants
on streets and pavements every night in villages, especially in Tetuan, in an
effort to protect residents from the virus.

It also has a truck which supplies
clean water to various checkpoints around Zamboanga so policemen and soldiers -
who are also at the frontline of the battle against Covid-19 - can properly and
frequently wash their hands to avoid contamination while serving to protect the
people.
Mayor Beng Climaco has deployed
a fleet of spray trucks since the start of the enhanced community quarantine last
month to disinfect the streets and roads and public places, especially in
markets, and villages.
Village officials are also
helping disinfect their areas. (Zamboanga Post)
