ICRC praises Zambo mayor for strong support

THE INTERNATIONAL Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) thanked Covid-19 chief frontliner Mayor Beng Climaco for her strong support and partnership with the humanitarian organization.

 

Ashot Astabatsyan, the new head of ICRC Davao Sub-Delegation team, shows Mayor Beng Climaco the ICRC commemorative book - “Witnessing History: A portrait of ICRC’s work in South-East Asia” - which he gave to the mayor as a token of ICRC appreciation for her strong support to the programs of the Geneva-based humanitarian organization. Elliot Wood, who is ending his mission as head of office of the ICRC in Zamboanga, visited Climaco to thank her supporting various programs and activities here.

Wood also introduced Ashot Astabatsyan, the new head of ICRC Davao Sub-Delegation team, to Climaco. 

He and Astabatsyan handed Climaco an ICRC commemorative book - “Witnessing History: A portrait of ICRC’s work in South-East Asia” - which contains a photo gallery of its operations as a token of their deep appreciation for the mayor all-out support. 

The two officials were accompanied by Gabriel Daclan, ICRC adviser; and Rajema Grace Villegas, ICRC protection field officer. (Zamboanga Post)
