DAVAO CITY – A latest survey by the independent PUBLiCUS Asia Inc. showed a noticeable drop of President Rodrigo Duterte’s approval rating from 65% to 58%, and trust rating also fell from 55% to 50%.

The survey released July 26 its second quarter poll which was conducted from 13-19 July 13-19. The nationwide purposive sampling survey comprised 1,500 respondents.
While it is a sizable drop for both approval and trust ratings, Duterte
still leads other top government officials – Senate President Vicente Sotto,
Vice President Leni Robredo, Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo and House Speaker
Lord Allan Velasco.
The survey said the Duterte Administration received passing / passable marks in all areas except promoting human rights and
managing inflation.
With the Duterte
administration project and actions; the Build, Build, Build is the most popular
project by a wide margin. The campaign against illegal drugs and the Bayanihan
Acts shared the second top spot. The Universal Health Care Act is a distant
third. The Anti-Terrorism Act was cited as a top 3 project by over a fifth
of respondents.
The survey, PUBLiCUS Asia said, is non-commissioned, national poll covering 8 modules measured the state of the economy and economic prospects; Covid-19 vaccine tracker; national issues; scorecard for national leaders and institutions emotional quotient of incumbent and prospective leaders; media consumption habits and responses to media campaigns; predisposition, and the Duterte administration scorecard.
The same survey also showed a dip in Senator Manny Pacquiao's overall approval rating of 37% from 66%. Moreover, his disapproval rating surged from 12% to 35%.
But Senator Grace Poe garnered the highest performance rating at 50%. At the bottom list were Senators Lito Lapid, Leila De Lima and Bong Revilla with total disapproval ratings ranging from 37% to 65%.
