A ZAMBOANGUEÑO layman, Rhoderick Jacinto Toh, battling Covid-19 died at dawn Thursday of cardiac arrest following multiple organ failure a week after he was intubated while at the Critical Care Unit of the UERM Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City.

The 61-year old former air force captain succumbed to Covid-19 and acute pneumonia after a month in the hospital. He was admitted to hospital after complaining of difficulty in breathing and coughing and was tested positive for the deadly respiratory virus.
Doctors said they did everything they could to save Toh’s
life, but his liver, kidney and heart were most affected by the disease.
Toh’s family, who now lives in Lipa City in Batangas,
thanked all those who prayed for him, including Kusug Tausug Rep. Shernee
Tambut for her financial assistance.
Toh’s younger brother said the layman was unvaccinated and had
no protection against Covid-19. (Mindanao Examiner)
