Sulu Governor renews strong support to anti-drug campaign

SULU GOVERNOR Sakur Tan renewed his strong commitment in the campaign against illegal drugs in support of President Rodrigo Duterte’s anti-narcotics program and to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Pablo Labra II, the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, who is accompanied by Col Jaime Mojica, Jr., the provincial police director and other regional police officials.

Tan also met recently with PDEA Assistant Regional Director Renante Rosero and his group who paid their courtesy call to the governor. Rosero was accompanied by PDEA officers Marlon Santos, Sammet Velle Del Mundo and Eloisa Simot; and also Jocelyn Mary, the Balay Silangan Focal Person and Emini Kadiri, the provincial director of the BARMM Interior Department. 

The governor also assured PDEA officials of the provincial government’s support to the programs and strategies in the fight against illegal drugs, including the Balay Silangan Reformation Program which caters to drug offenders who voluntarily surrendered to authorities. 

After the meeting with PDEA officials, Tan led the inauguration of the Balay Silangan Reformation Center in Talipao town with Mayor Nivocadnezar Tulawie, who is the chairman of the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council. 

Police Brig. Gen. Pablo Labra II, the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, also paid his courtesy call to Tan. He was accompanied by Col Jaime Mojica, Jr., the provincial police director and other regional officials. 

Both Rosero and Labra praised Tan and thanked him for his strong support to the various efforts and programs of the PDEA and the police. (Mindanao Examiner)
