ZAMBOANGA CITY: Anti-narcotics agents dismantled a drug den following the arrest of four people in a sting operation in the southern Phillipine city of Zamboanga.
The operation, mounted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) late Thursday, January 16, led to the capture of Roger Baghari, Laurel Lasola, Bert Marquez and Jeremy Aroy in the village of Tugbungan.
PDEA said it seized some 15 grams of crystal.meth worth over P100,000 from the suspects.
It did not say how it managed to carry out the sting but claimed the operation involved undercover agents who posed as buyers.
"The suspects will be facing charges in court for violations of Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002," PDEA said on Friday, January 27. (Mindanao Examiner)
