Security forces kill Sayyaf leader, 2 others; rescue last Indon hostage

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Security forces shot dead 3 Abu Sayyaf terrorists, including a notorious leader, and rescued an Indonesian hostage following a firefight Sunday on Kalupag Island off Languyan town in the southern Philippine of Tawi-Tawi, officials said.

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Philippine authorities on Friday said three Indonesian fishermen kidnapped last year by the Abu Sayyaf were rescued, and one of their Filipino captors was captured after their boat capsized off Tawi-Tawi province while fleeing from a military operation in nearby Sulu province.
