Serbisyo Fair provides P700-M in gov’t aid to 135K Tawi-Tawi residents

A TOTAL of 135,000 beneficiaries in Tawi-Tawi will receive almost PHP700 million in government services and financial aid during the two-day Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in Tawi-Tawi from Thursday to Friday.

Zambo Coast Guard seizes boat loaded with diesel fuel

ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Philippine Coast Guard on Monday announced the seizure here of 89,600 liters of diesel believed to have been smuggled into the country, but it has not named the owner of the fuel for a still unknown reason.

Cargo ship rescues 11 Malaysians off Tawi-Tawi province

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier bound for China rescued 11 Malaysian nationals off the southern Philippine province of Tawi-Tawi after their speedboat’s engine malfunctioned, a Filipino Navy commander Brig. Gen. Romeo Racadio said Tuesday.
