Malaysia will not pay Sulu sultan heirs, Sarawak to demand freedom

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Malaysia has flatly rejected an order by a French court to pay heirs of the Sultan of Sulu over $14 billion based on the alleged violation of payments of RM5,300 cession money under the 1878 agreement signed by Sultan Jamal Al Alam, Baron de Overbeck and the British North Borneo Company’s Alfred Dent.

Sabah prolongs curfew due to Sayyaf threats

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Sabah has extended its dusk-to-dawn curfew due threats posed by the pro-Islamic State’s Abu Sayyaf group and criminal gangs victimizing Malaysian and foreign nationals.

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Despite continued military operations against the Abu Sayyaf in the southern Philippine region of Mindanao, Malaysia said the threats of attacks and ransom kidnapping from the terrorist group remain a serious threat forcing it to impose longer curfew hours.

Malaysian terrorists, Abu Sayyaf tagged in Sabah kidnappings

MALAYSIAN TERRORISTS have joined forces with the pro-ISIS group Abu Sayyaf and are believed to be involved in the spate of ransom kidnappings off Sabah near the Philippine border of Tawi-Tawi province.

Sabah Deputy Home Minister Azis Jamman has confirmed the reports and said members of a Malaysian terror group are in cahoots with the Abu Sayyaf, according to Free Malaysia Today.
