More face masks in market assured
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY - The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Northern Mindanao said it is taking measures to address the shortage of face masks, especially N95 and N88, following the outbreak of the deadly Wuhan coronavirus in China which has infected tens of thousands of people around the world, including the Philippines.
DTI said prices of face masks have also increased due to the dwindling supplies and huge demand in the country. Private and online sellers jacked the prices of N95 and N88 and even surgical masks by as much as 500%.
