Too many tourists flock Boracay
CEBU – Interior Secretary Eduardo Año has warned the provincial government of Aklan and the municipal government of Malay following the huge number of tourists who arrived in Boracay Island during the Holy Week, saying there were documented violations of the island resort’s capacity for tourists.

Boracay, ipasasara kung...
NANGANGAMBANG mapasara ang Boracay na siyang pangunahing tourist destination sa Visayas kung magpapatuloy ang matinding polusyon doon dahil na rin sa mga dumi at basurang nagkalat sa mala-paraisong isla sa rehiyon.
Ito ay matapos na magbanta si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte dahil sa unti-unti ng nasisira ang magandang isla sanhi ng mga basura doon. Ipinag-utos na rin ni Duterte kay Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu na linisin ang Boracay sa loob ng 6 buwan.
Mahigit sa 2 milyon turista ang dumagsa sa Boracay noong nakarataang taon at mataas ito ng 16% porsyento kung ihahambing sa 2016. Sinabi ni Duterte na nagkalat rin ang mga dumi ng tao sa isla at maging karagatan ay kontaminado na.
Problema sa Boracay ang mga hotel at restaurant na walang water treatment facility at lahat ng dumi ng mga kubeta at banyo ay diretso sa karagatan. Sa dagat rin ang tapunan ng mga basura mula sa isla.
Hindi naman agad mabatid kung bakit walang aksyon ang Department of Environment and Natural Resources at lokal na pamahalaan sa problemang dulot nito at si Duterte pa ang nag-utos kay Cimatu. (Mindanao Examiner)
